Agreed, but the threading and auto-hide features, auto-spam detection,
and other filtering options that I don't have to deal with keep me
loving GMail.  I don't have to manage my stuff and it's always up.
Nearly no downtime.  I have managed systems for long enough to
understand that there are a few kinds of people.  The smart people
like to solve a never-ending stream of problems very effectively and
efficiently.  In fact, sometimes these people enjoy just that.  The
wise people just avoid them :-)
