Using Alpine you could connect directly to Gmail via IMAP, and then
use Alpine's built-in filtering capabilities. That way you avoid both
the lousy webmail interface to Gmail and the procmail middleman.
There are lots of people doing exactly that. Here's a quick howto
for using Alpine (or the older Pine) with Gmail and IMAP:
