Properly, this should have been the start of a new thread.
Even more properly it should be on the mdlug-admin mailing list.
Several ideas about recruiting, (intergroup) networking, publicity, and
extra activities were discussed at last night's officers meeting.

We agreed that we would invite all interested members to participate in
these discussions, but it should be conducted on the admin list so as to
not bother those who just want to read technical discussions.
To this end I will post my comments there. Anyone who wants to read
along can follow the discussion in the archive
