[mdlug] Fixing sound problem in Firefox

I decided to try a couple of other programs in the host OS;
Sound works normally in
Helix Player (playing a WAV file) and in Rythmbox (playing CD tracks)
but does not
work in Xine (playing a movie .VOB file; I again get sound but no
picture.) (And I know
that the .VOB contains a soundtrack all by itself because I've played
standalone .VOBs
and gotten sound before, on other systems.)
Anyways, here are the results of "sudo ps aux" with most of each
line edited out:

Now can anyone pick out the sound handler?
Thanks;
