I believe this is your current graphics card and monitor selection.
You can enable/disable features of your graphics card.
You can choose from among multiple monitors (if you have more than one).

These are the modelines found by SaX2,
from which you can choose a default.
I don't believe SaX2 providees support for multiple modes.

Interpret the report from SaX2 (top window) as
   <width>x<height>&<frequency>

1024 pixels wide by 768 pixels high by 70Hz refresh frequency

Probably.  You need to match your TV requirements.
See the TV manual for the resolution and refresh rate requirements.

If you are not using choked cable,
you may also be picking up interference.

If you are using the EPAL (a.k.a. NTSC, TV) output from your laptop,
be advised that the analog modulators and demodulators are usually
of low quality, especially trying to operate at other than 700x525x60Hz.
