[mdlug] getting sound to work besides aplay *.wav

Hello, so I bought a sound card.   I run Mepis, and I would save it picked up
the sound card right away. The sound card is a creative labs sound blaster
audigy SE.   Kmix sees it as a CA0106.  

If I run the command aplay -D default:CARD=CA0106  *.wav in a directory with
some .wav files, I can hear them.   

But no other sounds can be heard.   I have all the volume controls all the way up.

Is it going to be a big hassle to get like, basic internet sound working?

Like say streaming audio?  That's what I need.   

I've run through all the different controls in the various mepis system settings.
Nothing seems to help.  

Does anyone have any ideas?   Thanks
