I might have ears blown out by too many years in the factory, but I
agree.  I have good speakers, and I can tell the difference.

I have also heard what volume compression is doing to music, it makes
any format sound like crap.

People, they make volume knobs for a reason.  Make it good, the customer
will make it loud.
