The IP techs I spoke with at Comcast had no idea what UDP, TCP, nor
routing was. Their bosses boss probably wrote the EUA along with outside
legal, so they have no real understanding of the net other than it is a
revenue stream for them to catch sucker fish. I was in their main
offices in Southfield and the titles on all the doors were all about a
kingdom of sales staff. No technical staff to be seen other than a PC
support guy stuffed in a cubical of cannibalized boxes - like he had no
budget for repairs.
