I just tried 'mount -a'... Interesting.
root at 1[wolfger]# mount -a
mount: none already mounted or /proc/bus/usb busy
mount: according to mtab, procbususb is already mounted on /proc/bus/usb
mount: none already mounted or /dev/pts busy
mount: according to mtab, devpts is already mounted on /dev/pts
mount: none already mounted or /sys busy
mount: according to mtab, /sys is already mounted on /sys
no attempt to mount any hd device.
