[mdlug] Dual Core with Hyper Threading

I have SUSE 10.1 and when I had then on the phone, they said the Desktop was only licenced for 2 CPU's. 
   
  Does that mean 2 seprate CPU's?

This is just an assumption - but I thought any correctly compiled
kernel could handle up to 64 cpu's?

Please do correct me if I'm wrong.
