And if you've got the case opened, reseat everything: powerplugs, I/O 
connectors, RAM chips, cards, maybe the processor. Take a pipe cleaner 
to the heatsink fins as well.

If you have a spare or can bum a power supply I'd swap the old one out.

Take a close look at the capacitors. Sooner or later electrolytic 
capacitors go bad and they may signal their imminent demise by the tops 
bulging, maybe some leakage.
