I get a lot of spam at Gmail but only a few end up in my mailbox.
Most are filtered into the Spam folder.  I have several E-mail
addresses for use with site registrations that I think may result in
spam.  If I don't care to get messages from a site at all but I have
to give it an address, I simply make up a random address at hotmail so
M$ can pay for it.  :D
