Oh my goodness, do my posts even get through this listserv? I posted a
script almost 30 hours ago that does exactly this, only you can't
convert *all* of of the spaces to because then the lines won't
wrap. Rather, you convert series of N spaces to 1 space and N-1 ,
which is _exactly_ what my script does, yet Ray continues to put work
into this script and this discussion on goes on.
Michael says he rejects the output of my script, specifically developed
for him, but prefers to "wait for patches to Opera and Firefox"
(ridiculous on the face of it since they work fine, it's pipermail
that's wrong), yet likes the output of Ray's script, which still
collapses the whitespace.
I can't understand what's going on here, it's like I'm living in the
twilight zone.
