One of the definitions of FREEDOM!!! still includes choice, the last
time I looked.

It's not really FREEDOM!!! if you have no choices. Granted, this
can't and shouldn't be applied to everything, just to things that are
not necessarily life and death. Let's face it, choosing to use a
particular computing platform for your home and most business computing,
for whatever reason is rarely a life and death situation.

With that said, I find myself using Linux most often as a server,
although I do play around with Linux on my laptop from time to time, it
just doesn't fulfill all of my needs to the same level as Windows
happens to.

At work, I have no choice, but to use Windows as a desktop. I run
software that will not run in WINE and if I ran it inside a VM the
performance drop would be so significant that I might as well lop off
all but one forefinger and strike out one of my eyes.
