Well, stability is a huge issue. Linux has it (more or less... my
Linux box still crashed, despite what many Linux evangelists want
people to believe), and Windows does not (about a dozen or so crashes
since installing at the tail end of December, but most were caused by
Firefox, believe it or not). My personal reason for excluding
Microsoft from my house so many years ago was that they went to a
one-CD, one-computer license mode. Or maybe it was always that way,
but XP's online mandatory registration enforced it. I said "hasta la
vista, baby", and didn't look back for many years.

Ron, do you understand the difference between a reason and an excuse?
Doesn't seem so. Switching back to Microcrap is hardly something I
wanted to do. (and is "vial" a verb now?)
