 My comments were in the context of a server, where reliability is (at least,
from my perspective) paramount. I want the most-tested set of software that
still gets security updates. From that perspective, Debiain-stable is near
ideal.

 While Ubuntu is a fine desktop system (and I use it myself, honest) I don't
think it's got quite the history behind it *as a server* that Debian does.
