Hi Carl,
Gentoo has been my primary distro for several months. It's fun to be
able to be able to get updates every day. However I've found a lot of
tweaking needed in terms of package masks (whether or not to allow
experimental package versions and which ones to allow) and related
things.
I may have, finally, gotten bored with daily updates as early this week
I added a cron job to update the portage tree (package list) once a
week. The intent is to update the system weekly, rather than daily.
In a few days (weeks? months?) I'll find out if updating less often is
more satisfying.
Ciao,
David
