I am involved with the JLime project (http://jlime.com/ -- Linux on a
handheld, similar idea, but different processor (SH3 rather than
Xscale)).  I am currently working on a new 'lightweight' package-manager
suitable for distributions on handhelds (ipkg is hopeless), while also
creating some new features not available on 'full-featured' package
managers such as apt/dpkg or yum/rpm.

As such, I have already used the same OE (OpenEmbedded) build
environment that the Hack&Dev people are using to port Opie & GPE to
Palm T|X.

So, in theory, I am in a reasonable position to try to get a Linux
distro running on the Palm T|X, and for the donation of a handheld, I'm
willing to try.

BUT, I also am not a 503C charitable organization or whatever that is,
so I don't think you can write it off on your taxes...
