Hi Everyone,
Sprint has Wimax scheduled for launch spring 2008
<http://www.xohm.com/>. They seem to be the first. To bad they have
Nextel dragging them down, I had one of those too. Really good for a
short time then crash and burn. Sprint seems to have inherited that and
absolutely *horrible* customer service from them. So bad I paid my ETF
to get rid of them. I'm going back to a pager for emergency contact,
backup for cell svc and use in places I'm not supposed to use cellular.
From what I hear Wimax is supposed to render wifi, wireless
broadband cards obsolete. We'll see, I'm somewhat cynical. Wifi is
ubiquitous and free although you have to be stationary, I'm sure
Wimax will be a subscription service but it is much more mobile.
Since I'm a guy, I can't do more than one thing at a time w/o
forgetting to breath. So driving and surfing are out for me. I'm sure
it will have lots of uses, didn't someone bring a Wimax device to a
meeting? You can find lots more here

Best Regards,
