I have a debian box at home that I use as my router.  i use arno's iptables
firewall script for nat, firewalling, port forwarding etc.  I also use an
802.11g pci card in master mode using wep for wireless connectivity.  i use
two wired nics and the wireless.  one nic is internet and the other wired
and wireless are bridged and use nat.

overall i'm pretty happy with that solution, but i think i'm going to
investigate ipcop and see what it does ;)
