I'm still cranking out on a 1.8 gig.  On the principle that more is
better, yea, for desktop work that will soar like an Eagle (Provided you
don't put a Vista anvil on it.)  I wouldn't complain about that system
at all.

Normal desktop work doesn't require huge amounts of horsepower.  It's
nice to have and I don't know anyone that would turn it down.
