[mdlug] doing the Samba.

What distro are you using?

OpenSuSe has a sweet Samba configuration element in Yast2. I believe that it
will also allow you to setup Samba to act as a Windows Domain Controller.

Barring that, Webmin has a very easy to grok applet for configuring Samba.

It is seriously, one of the simplest of services to setup.

The only thing you need to really be aware of is that you might setup users
to have access to Share X. They would still need to be in a UNIX group that
has access to the files/folders on S
Share X.
