have you checked the options for the printer in each of the applications that you're
printing from. It could be that during the upgrade those options where changed and
not the options for the printers.

Subject: [mdlug] printing issue
Is there a way to permamently set the top and bottom
margins for printing system-wide, i.e. independent of
which app is doing the printing? I'm using CUPS in FC6.
Since upgrading from Fedora Core 4 to Fedora Core 6, I've
noticed that the top and bottom margins for printing to
both of my printers (Okidata 610e/S, HP DeskJet 5550) are
set to 0.75" top and 1.5" bottom. It used to be 0.5" for
both before. The strange thing is it only seems to affect
printing PostScript and PDF files from gv and Acrobat
Reader, resp. When I print a test page via the CUPS admin
web interface the margins are fine. I've tried changing
the margins both in the CUPS web interface and in the
system-config-printer utility in FC6, to no avail.
This is a problem since my PostScript files created by
cdlabelgen are getting cut off when printing from gv.
I've gotten around this by passing page-top and
page-bottom settings to lp's -o option, but it's a pain
to have to type all that in every time I want to print
(e.g. lp -d okidata -o page-top=18 -o page-bottom=18,
to get 0.5" top and bottom margins).
I'm not sure if this is a CUPS issue or a ghostscript
issue, but a simple fix either way would be nice.
Michael
