Have you had her try AbiWord and Gnumeric.
They are way more like M$Word/Excel than OOo Write/SpreadSheet.

I've got my wife moved over to Linux pretty well but she only tolerates
OpenOffice, she doesn't actually like it. (Our recent troubles with
Thunderbird didn't help her attitude.) She's very used to MS Word and
has trouble figuring out how to do the things she used to do there.
Is there a good (hopefully concise) guide for such a person somewhere?
That covers beginner-to-intermediate stuff? It'd be awfully nice if I could
track down something like that. Even if she wouldn't read it herself, I'd
be happy to refer to it to answer her questions...
