A co-worker indicated that when restarting CUPS the existing spool files must be purged. The situation was that some spool files were created for printers that were not defined in CUPS.   After restarting CUPS he said about the spool files existing in the queue: "If there are they will show up again."
So, does anyone have experience with spool files which are created for printers which are not defined in CUPS and what happens to the spool files when CUPS is restarted?
