I have an HP Pavilion dv4275nr.  A wonderful solution for Linux.  The
100 gig hard drive was what sold me on it.  I was able to shrink
Windows and add a couple versions of Linux.  Still have room for
videos, and trial software.  

A few minor problems.  When I installed a newer upgraded version of
Mephis (from 2.4.29 to 2.6.10) the battery charge indicator no longer
appears.  Some sort of configuration change I guess.  So, not a problem
with the hardware since windows still shows battery charge.

Also the new version of Mephis displays an error message concerning the
touch-pad when I shutdown.  The touch-pad works fine so I just ignore
the message.

I've had no other problems and recommend the HP brand for Linux.
