If all you are doing is XBMC,  The Raspberry PI does HD Audio and all 
and just works out of the box with www.raspbmc.com.
I have not found any device that will do 1080p,  **and** HD Audio that 
just works for $45...
The Google Chromecast is close with various apps like plex.tv etc..but 
no HD audio or high rate 1080p..
