Thanks for your input Mat and Tony. I solved the problem. I was hitting enter at the 'boot from CD' option too fast. I wasnt giving the SARDU disk enough time to load, so grub was coming up. I was able to instal DSL onto the HDD. Everything looks great so far. The ethernet is working. I havent tried wireless yet. The laptop does not have internal wireless. However, I have a Tenda USB wireless adapter with a Liunx and Windows DRIVER. Can someone explain how I can install the Linux driver. I have a little knowledge of the CLI, but I'm dying to learn, as I prefer it over a GUI. Thanks.

Hello Folks,
I am trying to put DSL on an HP Pavilion ze4300 laptop. I have a SARDU DVD disk which contains DSL, Ultimate
Boot CD, and Hiren?s boot CD. The laptop
HDD partition is wiped. I booted from
the SARDU and into the Ultimate Boot CD to run Parted Magic to create a Linux
partition on the HDD. I guess I picked
the wrong option because the computer booted to grub> which an explanation
of [Minimal BASH-Like line editing is supported]
I rebooted thinking I could get back into SARDU and use
Hiren?s CD to get into Parted Magic, but the computer won?t let me. The grub prompt comes up all the time, even if I don't have a disk in the DVD drive. Does anyone know what I can do to boot to the
SARDU DVD again? Any help would be much appreciated.

check your bios settings and ensure the CD/DVD ROM drive is the first boot
option

F9 at the hp splash boot screen will give you the device options to boot from. Choose the cd drive.
