[mdlug-discuss] A bit of distress...

We had a fire at our house last Saturday. We were able to put it out
ourselves, but we won't be able to go back for some time. We both inhaled
smoke; Marla was in the hospital overnight for superficial burns and to
check her airway.  My right foot is still a bit blistered from stomping out
the flames in my stocking foot (don't try this yourselves, but it worked)
and Marla looks a bit sunburned with fried eyebrows—but we've mostly
recovered from the smoke. She's at work today.

Our finances are about nil. I haven't been working and Marla's pay as a
extended care facility housekeeper ain't much, so a friend set up a
GoFundMe page for us:

I expect that I'll be at the meeting on Sunday. I look forward to seeing
you all! It's times like this that I'm *so* glad to know the folks that I
