Right there is no more public IP and private IP ranges it is all publicly routeable. It is like every devices MAC address is their IP address.  It means all of those vulnerable Windows boxen can no longer hide behind NAT Firewalls.

My point is, if you have a private IP space, 10.x.y.z, people cannot attack you directly on your IP.
