I wanted to go, but I was up in Grayling :-(, teaching the
rest of our commo section how to use our new Harris radios
to communicate over-the-horizon with HF frequencies.

Oh, and freezing our tails off in barracks with no
furnace, bare rafters with no ceiling, and aluminum roof.

The only difference from being outside was sleeping
off the cold ground, and having dry concrete underneath
our feet, and running water in the sinks.
[Graying has only 6 barracks that are for all-season
use -- strange considering how far north we are]
