seeing the mention of MS-DOS reminded me of something

The other day while working out at the Y one of the workout machines was 
having a problem. On the boot up screen "Caldera DR-DOS" was complaining 
about not being able to reach the server. It just goes to show you that 
what you write and implement today may still be in use many years into 
the future.
