The price of gas has more to do with increased demand for oil
worldwide.

China, India and Mexico have been gobbling up oil at an ever
increasing pace. The last time we had historically low prices for oil
(mid-90's) was when the Asian markets crashed and they lacked the
revenues to purchase oil in the quantities that are being gobbled up today.

As the demand skyrockets, the price of oil will only increase,
regardless of whether or not we stay in Iraq.

If we pulled out of Iraq this week and everything became perfect in
Iraq, which would be awesome, the price of oil would still be steadily
increasing. Global supply is simply unable to keep up with the demand.

Which is another reason we need to rebuild our manufacturing base so
we can, once again, return to the forefront of figuring out real
solutions to real problems, as the US has historically been able to do.
