Paris Hilton was given a slap on the wrist for DUI (probation) and a
slightly harder slap on the wrist for violating probation. A sentence
which, by the way, was cut in half for "good behavior" before she even
started serving the sentence.

...and she's not even a fraction of the wealth/power of Mr. Gates. If
you'll recall correctly, Bill's company was found guilty of some very
hefty charges here in the USA about... 7 years ago. To the best of my
knowledge the punishment was never administered at all.
