Free money - Not sure if you have to be a non-profit but it's worth
checking out. I don't have time to lead but I'll help.

____**Michigan**____**Humanities Council Now Accepting Major Grant
Applications**____
__LANSING__— The ____Michigan____ Humanities Council is announcing its
call for applications for the biannual major grants program. Open to all
____Michigan____ non-profits, final grant applications must be
**postmarked or hand-delivered by March 15.**____
“Each year the Council board and staff are impressed with the creative
ideas and ‘can-do’ spirit of community education and non-profit
organizations that strive to bring local residents and students together
for meaningful cultural experiences,” said Katie Wolf, Humanities
Council executive director.____
“As many funding streams have dried up around the state for cultural
programs, the Humanities Council fully realizes how important it is to
get the word out about its major grants availability, and help build
local capacity to sustain ____Michigan____’s rich cultural legacy. While
our grants are not very large, it’s amazing what hard-working,
imaginative Michiganians do each year to leverage these funds on behalf
of their students and communities,” Wolf added.____
All ____Michigan____ non-profit organizations are eligible to apply for
a major grant of up to $15,000. Eligible projects include humanities
initiatives that bring people together to reflect, study, discuss and
better understand ____Michigan____’s history, arts, cultural and
literary heritage, and current issues and events. A public programming
element **is required** for any project to be reviewed for funding.____
Organizations are encouraged to submit draft applications for Humanities
Council staff review and feedback. Drafts must be postmarked by Feb. 27.
Organizations will be alerted in May as to the status of their grant.____
In 2011, the Humanities Council awarded $369,015 in major grants for
projects ranging from ancestry workshops, archaeological digs, book and
cultural festivals, traveling exhibits and more.____
All granting forms are now available on the Humanities Council website,

Politically I have given up on being an anything-arian. I am for accountability and nothing else. Hold the government, in specific the office holders, elected or appointed, accountable for all actions taken in office. Authority must be granted grudgingly and reluctantly. When it is abused it must be snatched away at once. Be it a minimum wage screener at the TSA or the President of the United States.
