Ribbon colors are

Low visibility based on the older ribbons.  I would pick a different
color combo.  Light ink dark color or dark ink light color.  There s
also the possibility of a logo on the ribbon.  We should consider that
as well.

The catering fund doesn't have $100.
When will you know the actual cost?
I'm astonished to learn that the things cost anywhere near that much!
We're giving away CDs that cost a quarter (plus our time in burning
them) and asking a dollar donation each. But we're also giving away CDs
that we got for nothing and asking the same. This works out pretty well.
The last supply of these ribbons lasted four year. If this supply
follows this trend we would not break even for two years, if we got $1
for every one of them.

They are sold in lots of 50.  Is it worth $25.

When they are delivered.

Susan lists the low-volume costs and at the time of order,
expects an agreement to pay the computed low-volume cost.

Occasionally, (once a year?), she orders ribbons for Stilyagi
and extends the order to other groups at strict no-profit, no-loss.
The actual cost depends on the total volume ordered (by Penguicon,
Stilyagi, Youmacon, ...) attendees, and could be as little as
1/2 the low-volume cost, but in the past has usually been about
25% below the estimate.  As the fad for ribbons is fading,
I don't expect the actual cost to be more than 10% below the
low-volume cost this year.

not received anything back from the Penguicon people so as far as I can find
the rate are standard room rates.  Not sure what size room to get.

Susan lists the low-volume costs and at the time of order,
expects an agreement to pay the computed low-volume cost.

Occasionally, (once a year?), she orders ribbons for Stilyagi
and extends the order to other groups at strict no-profit, no-loss.
The actual cost depends on the total volume ordered (by Penguicon,
Stilyagi, Youmacon, ...) attendees, and could be as little as
1/2 the low-volume cost, but in the past has usually been about
25% below the estimate.  As the fad for ribbons is fading,
I don't expect the actual cost to be more than 10% below the
low-volume cost this year.

not received anything back from the Penguicon people so as far as I can find
the rate are standard room rates.  Not sure what size room to get.

getting a party room for the LUG from roomparties at penguicon.org.  Anyone by
chance know anyone in the penguicon hosting group?  If not I am out of ideas
on who to contact.  Calling the Hotel they say contact the hosting group
about rooms.    also tried info at penguicon.org as well.

Got some info on room rates Looks like 89.00 a night book for two nights.
